Ways to Donate
Kinship of the Park Rapids Area is a not-for-profit youth mentoring program. The program budget, including all of the money used for activities, is supported by donations, grants and fundraisers.

If you prefer, you may mail a check or money order to Kinship, PO Box 282, Park Rapids, MN 56470 or deliver it to the Kinship Office at 301 Huntsinger Avenue, Room 422, Park Rapids.
The Kinship Endowment FundThe purpose of the Kinship Endowment Fund is to provide financial support for the program, projects and activities associated with the mission of the mentoring program serving the Park Rapids Area. In an endowment, all gifts are permanently retained as principle with only a portion of the earnings each year used to support Kinship. This contributes to Kinship’s annual operating revenue.
The Kinship Endowment Fund is administered as part of the Northwest Minnesota Foundation (NMF), a regional community foundation. Kinship and NMF are 501©3 charitable non-profit organizations and all gifts to the Kinship Endowment Fund are deductible to the extent allowed by law. By making a significant gift to the Kinship Endowment Fund, you will:
Consider the following as ways to offer significant support for Kinship operations and/or the Kinship Endowment Fund:
Memorial and Tribute gifts to Kinship of the Park Rapids Area and/or the Kinship Endowment Fund are a fine way to honor someone, especially one who has demonstrated concern for children. Kinship staff will send acknowledgement letters to persons honored or family members of those memorialized.
Make Kinship of the Park Rapids Area or the Kinship a beneficiary of a retirement plan, such as an IRA, 401(k), 403(b) or SEP. Just fill out a Change of Beneficiary Form from your plan provider.
Make Kinship of the Park Rapids Area the beneficiary of a checking or savings account upon your death. Ask your local bank for a Payment On Death Form.
Make Kinship of the Park Rapids Area or the Kinship Endowment Fund the beneficiary of a life insurance policy no longer needed for your family. Again, just fill out a Change of Beneficiary Form. If you don’t need your policy anymore, just transfer ownership of the policy to Kinship now, and you can qualify for an income tax deduction.
Give gifts of appreciated stock to Kinship of the Park Rapids Area, avoid capital gains tax and enjoy a charitable tax deduction at the current market value.
Include Kinship of the Park Rapids Area or the Kinship Endowment Fund as a beneficiary in your will or estate plans.
